Our Café Journey
FFSN Social Enterprise began by creating small, hands-on work opportunities where individuals with special needs could practice real workplace skills in a supportive environment.
As we worked together, we realized that job training could be more than practicing tasks behind the scenes. We wanted our participants to have opportunities to meet customers, serve others, work as a team, and be part of the community.
That idea led to our first pop-up café experiences and eventually to the FFSN Mobile Café.
Instead of waiting for our participants to find a workplace, the Mobile Café brings an inclusive workplace directly to community events, schools, businesses, and other gatherings. Participants can help prepare items, organize supplies, serve guests, greet customers, and take on other café responsibilities alongside FFSN student job coaches.
For us, the Mobile Café is more than serving drinks or snacks. It is a place to practice responsibility, communication, teamwork, and independence—and a way for the community to see what our participants can contribute when they are given the opportunity.

The Mobile Café continues to grow, and we are looking for businesses and organizations interested in hosting us at their events.
Whether it is a company gathering, community event, school event, or other special occasion, hosting the FFSN Mobile Café gives our participants another opportunity to gain meaningful real-world experience.
