Join Our Friendship Walk

Thank You for Walking With Us!

On September 26, FFSN friends, families, volunteers, students, and community members came together at Irvine City Hall for a joyful day of friendship, inclusion, and connection.

We walked together, played together, shared our voices, and celebrated a community where everyone belongs.

Every step mattered because we took it together.

Community Voices

At Walk for Friendship, we created three Community Message Walls where participants, families, volunteers, and community members shared their hopes and ideas for a more inclusive community.

"Our students would benefit from more adaptive ROP opportunities during their high school years." “We wish there were adaptive peer tutoring opportunities after school.” “We hope to see adaptive orchestra and band opportunities available at the high school level.”

“We hope to see more adaptive recreation and vocational training opportunities in City programs.” “Can our community representatives meet quarterly with City leaders to share community needs?” “We hope nonprofits can use City facilities at no cost for free community programs.”

“I didn’t know FFSN offered so many programs at no cost. I wish I had found FFSN earlier.” “This is just the beginning. Let’s keep our voices together. See you next year!” “We hope more Irvine business owners learn about the 1-1-1 partnership and connect with FFSN.”

Community Leaders Celebrate Unity

We were grateful to welcome community leaders who joined our families, participants, and volunteers in celebrating inclusion and friendship.

Our guests included Irvine Mayor Larry Agran, City Councilmember Melinda Liu, IUSD Board of Education President Dr. Jeff Kim, and IUSD Board Member Katie McEwen.

Their presence helped make the day even more meaningful for our FFSN community.

Together, We Make a Difference

Every step mattered because we took it together.

We are deeply grateful to our sponsors, J&A Love Foundation and Crane Charitable Funds, whose support helped make Walk for Friendship 2026 possible.

We also thank our Walkathon Planning Committee, student leaders, volunteers, families, and community partners who contributed their time, energy, and care to bring this day to life.
