Our Drumming Program led by Brian Her and Reina Lee empowers individuals with disabilities to connect, express, and thrive through the rhythmic beat of drums. Participants explore rhythm and teamwork while experiencing the joy and freedom that music brings. With adaptive tools and personalized support, we ensure every participant’s unique voice is heard. We also provide drumming sessions at the assisted living facility bringing rhythm and joy to senior residents. Through simple beats and group activities, residents engage in music-making that stimulates memory, fosters connection, and lifts spirits. This program offers a welcoming space for seniors to celebrate their musicality and form bonds with others through rhythm.
As recipients of the FFSN Assistive Technology Scholarship, Hoseon Yu, Jaeyong Yi, Joonhyuk Kwak, and Woosup Chung engineer personally customized wheelchair accessories for improved independence for our special needs friends. Current projects include creating a height-adjustable and adaptive table connected to wheelchairs along with engineering an ergonomic design of an elbow brace for muscle training.
